Soudal T-Rex Power Fast Grab is a high-performance, neutral-cure SMX® polymer adhesive and sealant with an ultra-high initial tack.

Designed for structural bonding and sealing in construction, fit-out and general building work, it delivers a 1-second “fast grab” and can hold up to 320 kg per 10 cm², dramatically reducing or eliminating the need for props and mechanical fixing during installation. 

This versatile hybrid adhesive adheres to most common building substrates – including brick, concrete, masonry, timber, metals, PVC, many plastics and painted surfaces – even when they are slightly damp. Once cured, it provides a permanently elastic, high-strength bond with excellent UV, weather and temperature resistance, suitable for both interior and exterior use. T-Rex Power Fast Grab is solvent-free, isocyanate-free and virtually odourless, making it safer and more pleasant to use than many traditional construction adhesives.

Q1: What is the difference between T-Rex Power Fast Grab and ordinary construction adhesive?
T-Rex Power Fast Grab is an SMX hybrid adhesive/sealant with extremely high initial tack and permanent elasticity. It acts both as a strong adhesive and as a flexible sealant, with better movement capability, UV resistance and substrate range than many traditional solvent-based construction adhesives.

Q2: Do I need to use a primer?
On most common construction substrates (timber, brick, concrete, metals, many plastics) no primer is required if surfaces are clean, sound and degreased. For critical bonds, very smooth plastics or difficult substrates, Soudal surface cleaners/primers or a compatibility test are recommended.

Q3: Can T-Rex Power Fast Grab be used on damp surfaces?
Yes – it provides good adhesion on slightly moist substrates, which is useful on site. It is not designed for standing water or permanently saturated surfaces; those should be dried and prepared properly before bonding.

Q4: Is it suitable for exterior applications and UV exposure?
Yes. The cured product is weather- and UV-resistant and can be used outdoors for bonding and sealing, provided it is applied correctly and allowed to cure.

Q5: Can I paint over T-Rex Power Fast Grab?
It is paintable with most water-based paints once a skin has formed and early cure has taken place. Always perform a small compatibility test, and avoid rigid paint systems on joints expecting high movement. 

Q6: Which colour should I choose?
Use Bright White for general interior trim, joinery and white substrates, Grey for masonry, FC sheet and tile areas, Jet Black for dark metals or external details, and Clear where you want the adhesive line to be less visible or are bonding transparent materials.

Q7: What’s the difference between the 290ml cartridge and 600ml sausage?
The formulation is the same; cartridges suit small jobs and gun types most tradies already own, while sausages are more efficient for high-volume use and reduce packaging waste.
