Soudal Straw Gap Filling Expanding Foam - 750ml
Soudal Straw applied expanding foam 750ml in champagne for filling, sealing and insulating gaps, cavities, window frames and roof openings.
Straw Applied Polyurethane Expanding Foam for Gap Filling, Insulation and Sealing
Soudal Straw Gap Filling Expanding Foam is a one-component, self-expanding, ready-to-use polyurethane foam supplied with a straw nozzle for easy application. It is formulated with CFC-free propellants and is designed for filling, sealing and insulating a wide range of gaps and cavities in construction and installation work.
This expanding foam offers excellent adhesion on most common substrates, excluding PE, PP and PTFE, and provides high thermal and acoustic insulation. It is designed for very good filling capacity, excellent mounting performance and strong stability with no shrinkage or post expansion after curing.
The 750ml can yields approximately 28 litres of foam and around 20 metres of joint yield, making it suitable for professional trade use across window and door installation, roof openings, cavity filling and soundproofing work. It is supplied in a champagne colour and cures by reacting with moisture in the air.
Features & Benefits
Key Features
- One-component self-expanding polyurethane foam
- 750ml straw applicator can
- Champagne colour
- CFC-free propellant system
- Excellent adhesion on most substrates except PE, PP and PTFE
- High thermal and acoustic insulation
- Excellent stability with no shrinkage or post expansion
- Approximate yield of 28 litres of foam per 750ml can
Key Benefits
- Easy to apply without a foam gun
- Fills cavities and gaps efficiently
- Helps improve thermal insulation performance
- Supports soundproofing applications
- Stable cured foam helps reduce rework
- Suitable for installation, sealing and mounting tasks
How It Works
- Shake the can well before use
- Apply with the can upside down using the supplied straw nozzle
- Fill gaps only partly as the foam expands during curing
- The foam reacts with moisture in the air to cure
Key Applications
- Installation of window and door frames
- Filling cavities
- Sealing openings in roof constructions
- Creating soundproofing barriers
- Connecting insulation materials and roof constructions
- Improving thermal insulation in cooling systems
- Installation of air conditioners
Trade Tips
- Slightly moisten surfaces before application for faster curing and better cell structure
- Fill cavities to about one third only to allow for expansion
- If working in layers, moisten between each layer
- Clean uncured foam immediately with foam cleaner or acetone
