Heat-Resistant PU Cement for Bonding Leather, PVC, PU & TPR Sole Units

Bostik 1669 is a translucent, solvent-based polyurethane footwear adhesive (medium viscosity) engineered for durable sole attachment where heat resistance and creep resistance are critical.
It’s especially suited for bonding leather, PVC, PU and TPR pre-moulded sole units in footwear production and repair, delivering strong, reliable bonds while maintaining a clean finish with very low staining and excellent UV resistance.
Designed for brush or machine application, Bostik 1669 supports efficient factory workflows and consistent results across common upper/sole combinations. It’s also used beyond footwear for bonding flexible PVC sheet and for repairs on PVC inflatable boats and similar items (with optional curing agents to boost performance in these non-footwear applications).
Because it is solvent-based and highly flammable, correct surface preparation, ventilation and safe handling practices are essential for best performance and compliance.
